This policy explains what personal information SeeContainerPro collects through seecontainerpro.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written in plain language on purpose.

1. Who we are

SeeContainerPro supplies standard, office and modified shipping containers. This website is operated by SeeContainerPro at seecontainerpro.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

The main way we collect personal information is through the quotation request form on this site. When you submit it, we receive:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, if you choose to give one
• The container type you are interested in
• How many containers you need
• The delivery location you enter
• Whatever you write in the message field

Only your name, email address and container type are required. Everything else is optional, and you control how much detail you put in the message field. Please do not send us sensitive personal information through the form.

If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Comments on articles

If you leave a comment on one of our articles, we collect the name, email address and comment text you submit, along with your IP address and browser user agent string. This is standard WordPress behaviour and helps with spam detection.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps server logs. These typically record IP addresses, the pages requested, timestamps, and browser and device information. They exist for security, troubleshooting and keeping the site running.

3. What we do with it

We use the information you send us to:

• Answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation
• Ask you follow-up questions needed to specify a container properly
• Arrange delivery if you go ahead with an order
• Keep normal business records of quotations and orders
• Publish and moderate comments, if you left one
• Protect the website against spam, abuse and security problems

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quotation, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

4. Our legal basis

Where data protection law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on:

• Steps taken at your request before entering a contract — when you ask us for a quotation, we need your details in order to give you one.
• Performance of a contract — when you place an order and we need to fulfil it.
• Our legitimate interests — running and securing the website, keeping business records, and responding to enquiries.
• Your consent — where you have given it, for example by leaving a comment. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser.

Simply browsing this site does not set cookies. Cookies are only set if you do something that needs them, such as using shop or basket features, leaving a comment with the “save my details” option ticked, or logging in as an administrator. WordPress and WooCommerce set those cookies to make the feature work.

This website does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, remarketing pixels or social media tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, a Meta pixel, or anything similar. If that changes, we will update this policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop some parts of the site from working properly.

6. Who else is involved

We keep the number of third parties small. The ones that are involved:

• Our web host. The site and its server logs sit on hosting infrastructure operated by our hosting provider.
• Our email provider. Quotation requests reach us as email, so your enquiry passes through and is stored in our email system.
• Typefaces. The fonts used on this site are served from our own server, not from Google’s font service. Loading a page does not send your IP address to Google.
• Anti-spam checks. The quotation form uses built-in spam protection that looks at how the form was filled in, rather than sending your data to an outside service.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not currently sell products or take payments through this website. Enquiries are handled by quotation, so we do not collect card or payment details here.

7. How long we keep it

Quotation requests arrive as email and are kept in our email system. We keep them while we are dealing with your enquiry, and afterwards for as long as we reasonably need them as a business record — for example if you come back to us about the same project, or where tax and accounting rules require it. After that they are deleted.

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up replies make sense, unless you ask us to remove them.

Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider and then rotated out.

If you want your enquiry deleted sooner, just ask.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over the personal information we hold about you:

• Ask for a copy of it
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
• Ask us to delete it
• Ask us to restrict how we use it
• Object to us using it on the basis of our legitimate interests
• Ask for it in a portable format
• Withdraw consent where our use was based on consent
• Complain to your local data protection authority

9. Children

This is a business-to-business website. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to the systems that hold enquiry data is restricted to people who need it. No website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send us confidential or sensitive information through the enquiry form.

11. Links to other sites

Where we link out to another website, that site has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for how it handles your information.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information — for example if we start using analytics, or begin taking payments through the site — we will update this page and change the date shown below.
