Our Ranges

Three ways to buy shipping containers.

Most requirements land in one of three ranges. If yours sits between them, say so in your enquiry and we will work it out with you.

01

Standard Shipping Containers

Buy shipping containers: standard steel container used for secure on site storage

Reliable, cost-effective containers for storage, stock, equipment and general commercial use. The default choice when you need secure, weatherproof space and nothing more complicated.

02

Office Shipping Containers

Buy shipping containers fitted out as an office unit with glazed frontage

Ready-to-use workspace for construction sites, industrial locations and commercial operations. For when people need somewhere proper to work, not just somewhere to put things.

03

Modified Shipping Containers

Modified shipping container with timber and glass facade

Customised container solutions for offices, workshops, retail applications, specialist facilities and other project requirements. Start from the job and we build the specification back from it.

A Simple Process

How buying a container works.

Four steps from first enquiry to a container on your site.

01
Tell us the job

What the container is for, and roughly how big.

02
Get a quotation

A written quote covering specification and delivery.

03
Specify modifications

Optional. Only if the job actually needs them.

04
Delivery

We coordinate delivery to your site.

Before You Buy

What to check before you buy shipping containers.

Before you buy shipping containers, work through six points. Most buying mistakes come down to the wrong size, the wrong condition grade, or a site that cannot take the delivery vehicle.

  • Size. A 20 ft unit gives you roughly 33 m³ of internal volume and a 40 ft unit roughly 67 m³. A high cube adds about 30 cm of internal height, which matters when you stack pallets two high or fit out an office. External dimensions follow ISO 668, so a 20 ft box measures 6.06 m by 2.44 m whoever supplies it. See the full dimension table.
  • Condition. New, or one trip, units have made a single loaded voyage and still look close to factory. Used units are graded: wind and watertight is the working standard for static storage, cargo worthy is what you need if the box will ship again. Ask which grade sits behind the price, and read new and used containers compared.
  • Identification. Each container carries an owner code registered through the BIC and, when it is approved for sea transport, a CSC safety plate on the door. Both tell you the age and the history of the unit in front of you.
  • Site access. A tilt bed delivery needs firm level ground and clear space of about twice the container length behind the drop point. Soft ground after rain is the most common reason a delivery fails, so prepare the ground first.
  • Modifications. Decide on doors, windows, vents, insulation and electrics before the unit is painted. Cutting steel afterwards costs more and adds time. Here are popular modifications.
  • Total cost. Budget the unit, the transport and any modifications together. Transport is priced on distance and access, so the cheapest unit is rarely the cheapest delivered. Our current price guide shows what each range costs.

That is the short version of how to buy shipping containers without a surprise on delivery day. Send the use case, the rough size and the delivery location, and you get a written quotation covering specification and transport.
